I get a fair amount of questions on tinting windshields so I thought I would address this point. In the state of Georgia it is not legal to tint windshields unless you have a medical exemption from a doctor. Usually this exemption comes as a result of an existing skin condition that requires less exposure to solar radiation. On most cars, the front windshield is the largest window on your auto, and in turn is letting in the most visible light and solar radiation. A major area of heat gain. Since window films for the most part stop almost 100% of all UV light passing through the glass, it makes sense to tint the windshield. The film will also protect the dashboard, which really gets hammered by the sun. If you have a medical condition that prohibits you from getting out in the sun and need extra protection, this option is great to address the problem, and in fact, the Skin Cancer Foundation recommends it...
